While heading to shul on Monday night in the Kiryat Herzog area, a 28-year-old Chareidi resident of Bnei Brak was stabbed in the arm by a 14-year-old Arab kid from Jenin.
Following a chase with the patrol team of the Dan motorcycle unit, who arrived quickly and caught him, the Arab kid was apprehended.
The injured guy was given first aid by United Hatzalah medics who arrived on the spot.
He was subsequently brought to Maayanei Hayeshua Hospital and eventually released from there.
Later, the hurt Avreich explained what had happened, saying, “The assailant came towards me; I had never met him before, and I assumed he wanted to beat me or punch me.
I was stabbed in the arm after he fled, at which point I screamed, “He stabbed me, he stabbed me,” and dialed 911. I was brought to the hospital by nearby Hatzalah members.
The terrorist was sent to a different police unit for questioning after being apprehended.
He will also be questioned by Shin Bet agents. After the incident, the terrorist’s father, brother, and another family member who was discovered nearby and is believed to have assisted the terrorist were all detained.
According to police head Yaakov Shabtai, the terrorist admitted to carrying out the act because of the ongoing IDF operation in Jenin.
The injured man’s quick recovery is something that the whole city council of Bnei Brak is hoping for, according to Yaakov Wieder.
There are a large number of illegal immigrants from Judea and Samaria living in Bnei Brak.
There have been several warnings, yet not enough is being done to stop the occurrence.
This [attack] should serve as a wake-up call to police and municipal authorities to focus on removing illegal inhabitants rather than handling parking charges.
