Tuesday night at approximately 11:20 pm Williamsburg Shomrim received a call for a vehicle occupied by 4 males that had crashed into parked vehicles in front of 61 Harrison Avenue and that the occupants of the vehicle bailed on foot.
Boro Park Shomrim volunteers that were patrolling the Williamsburg streets due to the annual Williamsburg Shomrim volunteer appreciation event taking place, responded to the call and immediately started canvassing for the fleeing perpetrators
A short while later, the owner of the abandoned crashed vehicle as well as the driver returned to the scene of the accident where they were taken into custody for DWI (Driving While Intoxicated) and fleeing the scene of an accident.
