A young chareidi man from Afula was killed while riding an electric scooter in a sad accident that occurred very early Monday morning.
At 5:45 a.m., Rav Yitzchak Bitton, a 25-year-old father of two, was riding his electric scooter on a busy roadway in Afula when he was hit by a car and thrown to the ground.
MDA paramedics and medics discovered him unresponsive with a significant head injury and proclaimed him dead after a short period.
The car’s driver, a 40-year-old woman, became ill and required medical attention.
She was taken to the hospital for additional testing.
Rav Bitton z’l was the son of R’ Binyamin Bitton, the Akko Beis Hachaim’s director, for nearly 30 years.
He was the Mekubal Rabbi Avraham Bitton z’ts’l’s grandson.
He studied at Ohr Letzion Yeshiva under Rabbi Eliyahu Abba Shaul when he was younger.
He just relocated to Afula, where he works as a Mashgiach at a Haifa slaughterhouse and studies Torah daily.
He is survived by his wife and two children, the youngest of whom is only a month old, and parents, sisters, and siblings devastated by his early death. His levaya will take place at 4 p.m. in Akko.
May the remembrance of his life be blessed.
