The three victims of the heinous terrorist incident that took place on Tuesday morning have been identified by Israel.
A lone terrorist killed the three by stabbing two of them, stealing a car, and slamming another person with it as he drove against traffic.
The terrorist then fled on foot but was stopped in his tracks.
Tamir Avichai, a 50-year-old father of six from the Samarian settlement of Kiryat Netafim, was the first name to be made public.
The children Avichai left behind ranged in age from 12 to 29.
Yossi Dagan, the regional administrator for Samaria, paid tribute to Avichai and said, “This is a difficult time for all of us. In this trying time, we want to embrace the family and the entire community.
“Tamir was a Zionist in the most accurate meaning of the word, a man who emanated benevolence, readiness to help people, a man of loving generosity.
He always greeted me with a big smile whenever I saw him.
Everyone who knew him adored him. Barbarians uprooted this brilliant, happy bloom.
Father of three children and grandfather of two, Motty Ashkenazy (59) is from Yavne.
The Amisragas gas firm employed him as a supplier.
He was a “wonderful husband and family man with a great soul who always wanted to serve everyone and exploited every opportunity to surround his family in warmth and love, according to his relatives.
This is a significant loss for us and everyone who knew him.
Mikhail Ladigin, a 36-year-old Bat Yam father of two, was the third casualty.
Mikhail arrived in Israel only five years ago. Some of his relatives still reside abroad and were informed of his tragic death.
The mayor of Bat Yam, Zvika Brot, declared, “We welcome Mikhail’s family, who emigrated to Israel five years ago.
We are getting ready to fully assist his wife and two kids, especially in the school system.
