The biggest supermoon of 2022 is set to shine brightly on Wednesday.
Space experts said the supermoon event will result in a “spectacle of the biggest and brightest full moon of this year.”
According to reports, this month’s full moon is called the “Buck Moon,” a time of year when antlers are growing on bucks or male deer.
Last month, particularly on June 14, another supermoon, the “Strawberry Moon,” was also seen.
The supermoon got its name because it’s the full moon at strawberry harvest time.
Data has shown that astrologer Richard Nolle coined the term ” supermoon ” in 1979, which refers to either a new or full moon that occurs when the moon is at its closest approach to Earth.
The term “Buck Moon” was derived from Native American names for full moons in the 1930s and first published in the Maine Farmer’s Almanac in the ‘30s.
