The frightening incident occurred in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Friday night at 11:45 PM.
A man, face covered, throws a brick through the glass door of a Jewish owned supermarket at the corner of Lee & Rutledge.
The perpetrator grabbed the cash register and started fleeing the scene.
When passing people noticed, they started yelling for help, the perpetrator displayed a knife he was carrying and disappeared.
The NYPD 90 Pct. Detectives are investigating.
