For the first time, exclusively on ABC 7, the Chasidic man who was removed last week off a Delta flight gives his perspective.
A Hasidic Jewish man was removed from a Delta flight from Fort Lauderdale to LaGuardia airport last night for allegedly carrying too many items in the overhead storage compartment.
The man refused to check the bag, and a dispute ensued. The flight attendant removed the bag from the compartment, and the man asked for it back.
The flight attendant reportedly told him that he could either check the bag or stay behind with it.
The man then put the bag back in the overhead compartment, but the flight attendant had him removed from the flight.
The airline has yet to comment on the incident.
However, the incident has sparked discussions about the strictness of the airline’s baggage policy and how it is enforced.
It highlights the need for clear communication and understanding between airline staff and passengers to ensure a smooth and comfortable journey for all.
