On Friday evening, a five-month-old baby girl was shot dead inside a car on Chicago’s South Side.
The local police said the victim, Cecilia Thomas, was sitting in a car near Rainbow Beach in the city’s South Shore neighborhood when a second vehicle pulled up, and someone inside opened fire indiscriminately around 6 in the evening.
One of the bullets hit Cecilia in the face leading to her immediate death.
A deeper investigation of the fatal shooting is now underway.
