Hundreds of people showed up early on Wednesday for the levaya of 15-year-old Nachman Shmuel Mordoff HyD, who was shot and killed near Eli on Tuesday.
The burial for Mordoff, who lived in the Ahiya neighborhood east of Shilo, is in Shilo.
Mother of Nachman Shmuel Ora Mordoff expressed her “heart has been shattered to pieces” to Kan’s Reshet Bet radio program.
On the other hand, there is belief in the creator of the universe, G-d. We give thanks to G-d for giving us Nachman, such a wonderful gift.
He wasn’t quite 16 years old, the speaker said. He was a child who loved the Land of Israel and the People of Israel and had a lot of energy and excitement.
He had only good intentions. Before all else, put everyone else before oneself. My heart is shattered.
“He was a smiling boy, energetic, and loved by all his friends,” Mordoff’s family said. He was constantly engaged in acts of holiness, serving others and offering support to the vulnerable. He was honest, had integrity, and respected his parents.
He connected with others from a position of innocence because he could see beyond the outward appearances of someone’s heart.
He mostly smiled while he was speaking. He had two great loves: people and the land.
