Witnesses claim that a flight attendant on a Ryanair trip to Tel Aviv frequently referred to their destination as Palestine.
Israeli passengers flying from Italy to Ben Gurion reported to Channel 14 News that the flight attendant repeatedly declared in both Italian and English that they were headed towards Palestine.
The flight attendant declared over the loudspeaker that they were “approaching Palestine” just before the jet was scheduled to land.
According to reports, a few individuals raised their hands and requested that she either correct herself or apologize.
After being denied, the passengers were shockingly accused by the crew of causing a disturbance that jeopardized the flight’s safety.
One passenger complained, “We didn’t [purchase tickets] on the airline to deal with anti-Zionist opinions [from flight staff].”
“All we asked for was the confirmation that Tel Aviv is located in Israel.”
One passenger was warned against leaving her seat when she attempted to snap a photo of the flight attendant because she would be detained upon arrival.
According to World Israel News, Jackie Goodall, executive director of the Ireland Israel Alliance, called it “wholly unacceptable that on a flight from Italy to Tel Aviv, a member of Ryanair staff would repeatedly broadcast their own political ideology over the facts by stating that the flight in question was landing in Palestine, as opposed to Israel.
Ryanair, which has its headquarters in Ireland, allegedly declined to react to many calls for comment.
