The 39-year-old Tel Aviv resident who damaged the windshield of a car with three children inside during an unlawful left-wing protest in Jerusalem in July was charged on Thursday by the Jerusalem District Attorney’s Office.

The three kids in the car are seen screaming in terror as they are surrounded by shards of glass in a viral video of the incident.

The defendant took part in a demonstration against judicial reform that day close to the Knesset, according to the indictment.

Several hundred protesters, including the defendant, blocked the Begin Highway in the afternoon, participated in an illegal march, and slowed down traffic.

Heli Levi, who was traveling at the time with her three children in tow, was one of the drivers.

Some of the protesters briefly stopped her from moving forward by blocking her car with their bodies.

The defendant hit the windshield with the flagpole he was holding during the altercation.

Two of Levi’s kids were seated in the back seat when the windshield broke, shattering into numerous pieces.

In the indictment, the defendant is accused of unlawful assembly and malicious damage.
