Two individuals were killed, two children were critically hurt, and two more people are still missing after an explosion completely demolished a home in New Jersey.
It is being looked into what caused the explosion on Thursday morning in Buena, which is roughly 40 miles (70 kilometers) southeast of Philadelphia.
Numerous surrounding homes were damaged, but there were no further recorded injuries. Four children—a 2-year-old boy, three 1-, 3-, and 16-year-old girls—and two men, ages 52 and 73, were probably there at the time.
Authorities have not been able to determine the age or sex of the two victims that were discovered in the rubble.
The 16-year-old girl and the 1-year-old baby were taken to a medical facility in Philadelphia, where the teen was in stable condition and the baby was in critical condition.
The victims’ names and whether they were linked have not been made public by the authorities.
