A day before the due date for the delivery of her twins, a pregnant mother in her 30s collapsed unconscious and is now in a very severe state.
Acute respiratory stress was the woman’s initial complaint while she was in the 38th week of her pregnancy.
Medical personnel from the United Hatzalah, Akiva Angel and Zevi Klein, stated that they arrived on the scene after learning that the patient wasn’t feeling well.
The woman passed out during the initial examinations and lost consciousness. The woman was transported to Shaare Tzedek Hospital while we were performing resuscitation treatments.
The twins were delivered through an emergency C-section after the woman instantly went into labor. Although they were initially born without a pulse, they were later revived and taken in extremely serious condition to the neonatal unit.
The woman is in the ICU, and a large team of doctors is treating her and the infants and fighting for their lives.
