Just hours after returning from his Friday Talmud Torah, an 8-year-old child from Beit Shemesh passed away due to complications from an acute infection.
The boy, Yosef Shalom Alpert Z’l, attended the Rabbi Yisrael Kuritz-run Toras Shalom Talmud Torah to study.
He was well-liked by his friends and excelled in his academics.
He went to study on Friday as usual, but on Friday night, he started to feel sick and was taken to Shaare Tzedek hospital.
There, medical professionals found that he had a severe infection spread throughout his entire body, dramatically worsening his condition.
Although doctors battled for hours to keep him alive, he tragically lost away later that evening.
Yosef Shalom’s passing shocked everyone who knew him, especially his family, who struggled to comprehend the horrific event.
At 11:30 PM on Motzaei Shabbos, the levaya took place in Beit Shemesh’s Derech Hachayim cemetery.
May God bless his memory.
