
The Duchess of Edinburgh sent her sympathies following the death of an 81-year-old woman who was hit by a motorcycle belonging to the U.K. on Wednesday cops are guarding the royal.
Sophie, the wife of Prince Edward, expressed her condolences for Helen Holland’s passing when she was killed on May 10 at a junction in West London.
The death of Helen Holland has left the Duchess of Edinburgh “deeply saddened,” according to Buckingham Palace.
The entire family of Ms. Holland has my sincere condolences and sorrow.
Holland, who is from Essex, had been visiting her older sister in London when she passed away, according to Martin Holland’s son, who told the BBC that his mother had suffered “multiple broken bones and massive internal injuries.”
According to her son, she battled “for almost two weeks, but irreparable brain damage finally ended the battle today.”
The Independent Office for Police Conduct is looking into the accident.
