Al Sharpton has joined other critics in denouncing President Donald Trump’s usage of the term “riggers” as the former leader of the free world rails against the judges and prosecutors in charge of the criminal charges brought against him.
Trump has insulted Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis on numerous occasions.
“This woman used a phrase that rhymes with the n-word to call a government office or a judge’s chambers. Their leader Donald Trump used the term “riggers,” which unmistakably rhymes with the n-word, on MSNBC’s Morning Joe on Thursday, according to Mr. Sharpton. Sharpton continued, “I mean, this is not exactly… thirty years ago, when we marched against him on the Central Park Five.
“Do the Republicans want to represent themselves to the nation as this kind of party? he said. “It makes sense that independents are avoiding them. We don’t need a party that stands behind overt acts of violence and hatred. A two-party system is necessary. However, bigotry does not require one nice deed in and of itself.
The dictionary defines “rigger” as something that has nothing to do with race or the “n-word,” and this definition may be found there. In essence, it denotes “one who rigs.”
