Social media users shared pictures of a wounded Israeli Defense Forces dog recuperating next to his injured owner.
Both were attacked on June 19 in Jenin, and the soldier’s dog, Dago, is said to have remained by his side at Rambam Hospital in Haifa.
The soldier and dog are from the IDF’s canine squad, Oketz.
The relationship between troops and their canines is crucial during military operations and is an essential component of the unit’s qualities, according to the division.
