The $1.586 prize was split by three ticket buyers from Tennessee, Florida, and California in January 2016. For matching all five white balls, tickets from California, Pennsylvania, Texas, and West Virginia earned $1 million. When a winning ticket worth $20 million was sold in Syracuse, New York, on April 18, Mega Millions announced its most recent jackpot winner.
The likelihood of a Mega Millions player winning the jackpot in any drawing is 1 in 302,575,350.
