AOC is reportedly very upset that someone is using her image on Twitter. Additionally, the anonymous Ocasio parody is hilarious.
One humorous post mocked Ocasio’s climate change agenda: “To make windmills more effective — when the wind doesn’t blow, we should have helicopters hover over each of them and keep them turning year-round.”
Imitating Ocasio-Cortez’s “sophisticated” humor, the account said, “This is not funny.” In a subsequent tweet, the author added, “Like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, literally.”
Another tweet stated that “car emissions will wipe out the human race just like they did the dinosaurs if we don’t move to 100% green energy soon.”
One well-liked tweet read, “Until 2027, I’m not going to take a bath to save the planet and conserve water.”
Ocasio most likely contributed significantly to the account’s PR success. Tuesday, the member of the socialist squad informed her tens of millions of followers that the account parodying her postings was growing in popularity due to Elon Musk becoming involved.
“FYI, there’s a bogus account on here spreading like wildfire and posing like me.
The CEO of Twitter engaged it, increasing awareness,” she wrote in her message.
It is spreading while publishing bogus policy pronouncements. Together with my team, I’m deciding how to go. In the interim, be wary of what you observe.
A few minutes later, the satirical account called “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Press Release (parody)” reacted.
It stated, “I’m going to push Congress to make it illegal to joke, laugh, or make fun of me after brainstorming with my staff. “Parody ought to be prohibited.”
Another comment from the humor account said, “I can’t believe someone would do that to us.”
A different person said, “I’m having my staff report every tweet that makes fun of me to the DOJ.”
The owner of the parody account is a frum resident of Lakewood, New Jersey, according to an unsubstantiated rumor.
As of Wednesday, the parody account had more than 290K followers.
A gray checkmark on the real account denotes that it represents government property.
The bogus account displays the blue checkmark that $8 per month customers to Twitter Blue receive.
