The latest report regarding Apple’s future developments in the world of gadgets points towards a device that features a foldable, 20-inch display.
Bloomberg’s top Apple tipster Mark Gurman has now floated reports of an “iPad / MacBook hybrid” that is currently in the works. According to Gurman, Apple is, indeed, exploring the possibility of a folding device of the sort, backing up the claims of Ross Young, the CEO, and analyst at Display Supply Chain Consultants, who last week brought attention to Apple’s supposed plans to develop a device with a large, folding screen.
Delving into the report further, Gurman said the device will feature a dual-screen display that omits a physical keyboard and trackpad — navigating and typing on the device will be entirely touchscreen-based.
So when will we get to see this swanky new device? This is where Gurman’s prediction involves quite the wait. In terms of a potential release date, Gurman cites Young’s prediction of 2026, around the same time Apple’s rumored car is set to launch.
