This morning in Jerusalem’s Givat Shaul area, a 50-year-old Arab man was detained after a pedestrian overheard shouting and saw a suspicious someone attempting to seize a 9-year-old cheder child.
The suspect turned to look at the woman and then left the area.
Immediately taking steps to locate the culprit, Moriah station police in Jerusalem found him near the crime scene.
The suspect, an Abu Gosh resident aged 50, was discovered in a wheelchair.
The man was detained and questioned this morning at the Moriah police station, and he will be taken before Jerusalem’s High Court later today to request an extension of his incarceration.
