Arab ‘News Network’ Slammed After Claiming Charedi Minister at Jewish Holy Site Prayed in “Ibrahimi Mosque”

The accusation that a Charedi political leader davening at Me’aras Hamachpela was at the “Ibrahimi Mosque in occupied Hebron” was made by a pro-Palestinian so-called “news outlet” that is linked to terrorist organizations has provoked derision on social media.

A video of Agudas Yisrael leader and housing minister Yitzchak Goldknopf leading the recitation of Tehillim at the Kevarim of the Avos and Imahos was tweeted by the Quds News Network.

The abhorrent tweet read: “Today, hard-core Israeli Minister of Construction and Housing Yitzchak Goldknopf enters the historic Ibrahimi Mosque in occupied Hebron and conducts Talmudic ceremonies. #EndOccupation.”

Even more disturbingly, Google identifies the image of the Ibrahim Mosque in large letters when someone searches with the phrase “Mearas Hamachpela.”

Many Twitter users criticized and derided the outlet. “This is a parody account,” the Coalition for Jewish Values retorted. The fact that it is unaware that it is a spoof account makes it much more hilarious. “Breaking News: A Jew Prays at a Jewish Holy Site,” tweeted Camera on Campus.

This has become stale. It’s time to acquire some fresh content.

With over 120K followers, the fake news account that supports terrorism is “associated with Hamas and is popular among young Palestinian Internet users for showing videos of the Palestinian conflict and encouraging them to wage war on the Israeli government,” according to Wikipedia.
