According to police and law enforcement sources, a car struck seven pedestrians in a Midtown Manhattan crosswalk late on Sunday, gravely injuring at least one of them.

Around 11:55 p.m., the driver of a Honda Accord struck the seven victims. Reports claimed that the driver continued on to the Queens-Midtown Tunnel from West 36th Street and 6th Avenue.

Five people were taken by ambulance to Bellevue Hospital, where sources indicated at least one of them was in critical condition.

A second victim was sent to a different hospital in stable condition. One person, according to sources, declined medical care. After being involved in a three-car collision on the Long Island Expressway near the Clearview Expressway in Queens, a 29-year-old woman was later detained, according to sources.
