An attempted stabbing attack occurred Tuesday morning in Israel, where a terrorist tried to stab a female soldier at the Giti Avishar junction near Ariel. The terrorist was neutralized and his death was determined on the spot.

Members of Ichud Hatzolah swiftly responded to the scene of the attempted stabbing, and treated the soldier who was slightly injured during the incident.

Preliminary investigation of the incident shows that the terrorist tried to stab the soldier several times, but the soldier fought back.

When the distance between the two allowed it, a soldier nearby who witnessed the incident shot the terrorist. “There were no casualties to our forces”, the IDF reports.

Palestinian sources reported that the terrorist was Atallah Muhammad Ryan, 17, from the village of Qarwat in Bani Hassan.

The head of the Shomron Regional Council, Yossi Dagan, arrived to the scene of the attack and told the soldiers: “You guys are heroes who prevented a much more serious attack”

Dagan spoke with the female soldier who told him that she came to Israel from England.

The head of the Samaria Council told her and the soldiers: “You are heroes, thanks to you veru much, a bigger attack was avoided. The residents of Samaria and the whole state of Israel thank you”.

However, Dagan added: ” A month ago, Esther Horgan was murdered in the Reihan forest. Yesterday, an attempt was made to lynch a Samaria resident who successfully ran away, and today, an attempted stabbing attack at a central and noisy intersection, these trends must stop.
