Authorities in Austin, Texas, reported that a shooting outside a sizable shopping mall on Thursday resulted in the death of one victim and a critical injury to another.

According to Austin Interim Police Chief Robin Henderson, the responding police discovered two victims who had been shot.
With what the authorities described as critical injuries, one of the victims was brought to the hospital.

Henderson stated that it was currently unknown how the shooter and the victims were related.
