Yidinfo regrets having to let you know of the petirah of HaRav Mordechai Zelig Schechter, the mashgiach of Yeshivas Rabeinu Chaim Berlin, who was niftar on Tuesday after a protracted illness.
In the house of his revered father, Hagaon HaRav Aharon Schechter zt”l, who passed away just a few weeks ago, HaRav Mordechai was raised. He emulated his father’s wisdom and hadracha throughout his life, shaping and motivating countless bochurim in Chaim Berlin.
Following HaRav Shimon Groner’s demise in 2005, he was appointed Mashgiach. At the yeshiva on Coney Island Ave. in Flatbush, the levaya is tentatively slated to start at 11 a.m. Thank you, Dayan Ha’Emes.
