Chasidim has requested a global prayer vigil to start at 6:30 PM Israel time in response to the Belzer Rebbe’s recent health difficulties (11:30 Eastern Time).
The chasidus declared that “in light of the call by the Rav Hatzadik [Rav Aharon Mordechai Rokeach, the rebbe’s only son] that everyone should pray for the health and speedy recovery of strength for our father, our guide, and our leader, the Rebbe Shlita, the Belz chasidim around the world will unite in a worldwide Tefillah.
Today is the 11th of Nissan, and Mincha will be held at 6:30 PM in the Beis Midrash Hagadol, followed by a public tefillah everywhere.
The Rebbe felt poorly on Wednesday, so Hatzalah organizations were called to his home.
The Rebbe’s condition eventually stabilized, but he continued to live at home, and it is believed that he had a hypoglycemic episode.
The chasidus claimed that after the rebbe had extensive testing by a specialized physician, the rebbe is now feeling better.
A local doctor watched over the rebbe and did not leave his house for Shabbat. It is assumed he won’t lead a group, Seder, this year as usual.
