
The United States and a four-nation conference have been postponed by Jordan. The nation’s foreign minister said on state-run television that President Joe Biden and other leaders.
The conflict between Israel and Hamas, according to Ayman Safadi on al-Mamlaka TV, is “pushing the region to the brink” and will cause the summit to be postponed. Biden had planned to go to Israel on Wednesday before heading to Amman for the conference.
The Palestinian Authority, which enjoys limited autonomy in some areas of the occupied West Bank, and the United States’ Arab allies were to be brought up during the summit, according to the White House, where Biden had wanted to tackle the bloody Oct. 7 Hamas militant attack on Israel.
