At approximately 3:30am, Boro Park Shomrim volunteers that were out patrolling the streets, spotted a man walking with a baseball bat in hand, in the area of New Utrecht Avenue and 55th Street.
While keeping an eye on him, they observed him swinging the bat- hitting and damaging multiple vehicles as he made his way up 56th Street.
The volunteers continued to follow him while calling 911 to report the crime. Officers ultimately responded to the location and arrested the suspect for criminal mischief.
