
Fifteen students and two adults were injured when a school bus collided with a dump truck in North Carolina on Wednesday.
In the local police investigation, the bus traveled towards South Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte when it collided head-on with a dump truck.
The Mecklenburg Emergency Services revealed that 14 of the students who were aboard the bus were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries following the crash, while the other student declined to be taken to a medical center.
The local officials said the bus driver was also injured in the incident.
Sources said the dump truck driver was unharmed from the road accident.
A deeper investigation of the road accident is now underway.
