A six-month-old baby boy is now in critical but stable condition after his mother dropped him off her Thursday’s second-floor apartment balcony.
The local police said the baby’s father was the one who informed them that his wife dropped their baby on the second floor of their house on 51st St. and 19th Ave. in Mapleton around 4:50 in the morning.
A deeper investigation is now underway to determine why the mother dropped her baby.
The baby is currently being treated at the Maimonides Medical Center.
