UPDATE: FLATBUSH UPDATE: The School bus driver involved in the fatal hit and run accident of a 15 year old girl today, has been arrested.
Aleksander Patlakh, 55, is being charged with ‘Failure to yield for a pedestrian’ and ‘Failure to use due care.’
UPDATE: The school bus driver involved in the fatal hit and run accident of a 15 year old girl in Flatbush, has been located and being questiond by the NYPD.
A 15-year-old girl from Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, died after she was hit by a school bus while crossing an intersection in Flatbush at around 7:55 AM on Monday morning.
The initial police investigation reports the Jewish victim was making her way to Madison High School when she was struck by a bus turning right at the intersection of Bedford Avenue and Avenue P.
It appears from video footage that the school bus driver was unaware he struck the girl. The NYPD is still working on locating the bus driver.
Alert FDNY EMS, as well as Flatbush Hatzolah, immediately responded to the scene. Sources have informed Yid Info, that sadly the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
NYPD and Flatbush Shomrim personnel were at the scene to investigate the hit-and-run incident. Misaskim is currently on-site assisting with proper Kavod Hames.
