A joint operation carried out by the Shin Bet, and Israel Police on Wednesday led to the arrest of an Arab who attacked a Bnei Brak resident on Tuesday.
The authorities busted the 32-year-old Palestinian resident of a village near Shechem in Petach Tikvah.
Data gathered by Shin Bet showed that the suspect had a permit to work in Israel.
Shin Bet, at the moment, has refused to brand the attack as a terror act.
The local police identified the victim as Yitzchak Dahan, 47, a father of six, who was attacked on his way to Shacharis in Givat Shmuel, where he is a Rosh Mesivta in a yeshivah.
