The Omicron surge in Israel has affected Foreign Minister Yair Lapid and nine other Ministers and MKs.
On Monday, a spokesperson of Lapid said the official is feeling well and is quarantining at his home in Tel Aviv.
Lapid in his social media account also confirmed reports that he has COVID.
“Yes, I’m positive for COVID,” Lapid tweeted.
I’m feeling great because I’m vaccinated. Go get vaccinated, put on a mask -we’ll get through this together,” Lapid added in another tweet.
Aside from Lapid, MK Osama Saadi, Public Security Minister Omer Barlev (Labor), Deputy Foreign Minister Idan Roll (Yesh Atid), Blue and White MK Michael Biton, UTJ MK Yisrael Eicher, Likud MKs Chaim Katz, and Etti Atiya, and Shas MK Yoav Ben-Tzur also COVID-19 positives.
