On late Sunday night, the local police said an Atlanta home belonging to former Nets superstar Vince Carter was the scene of a big-money burglary.
The local police revealed that “a large amount of $100 bills” were found “spilled on the ground” outside the residence.
The local police added that some $16,000 was recovered, but that amount was only some of the $100,000 that Carter, 45, had inside a closet.
In the initial police investigation, the burglars entered the house by breaking the front window of the house, which is located in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta.
Before retiring from the NBA, the 6-foot-6 Carter was an eight-time All-Star in 22 seasons, averaging 16.7 points per game.
He played five seasons with the Nets from 2004 to 2009, averaging 23.6 points per game with the team.
