The Israeli Security Forces are hunting down a male terrorist who killed three people and wounded four others in a terrorist attack on Ibn Gvirol Street in Elad on Thursday night.
The authorities said the suspect used a hatchet and a knife in the attack.
At the moment, Magen David Atom and United Hatzalah are already on the crime scene to treat the victims.
The attack came as Israel marked its Independence Day, a festive national holiday where people typically hold barbecues and attend air shows.
Sources said the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip, praised the attack and linked it to violence at the Har Habayis.
“The storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque can’t go unpunished,” Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said.
“The heroic operation in Tel Aviv is a practical translation of what the resistance had warned against,” Qassem added.
