A man was slapped with three criminal cases for punching a Brooklyn man who was only unfurling a flag from a breakaway pro-Putin Ukrainian city.
The NYPD identified the suspect as Vladisla Radinovskiy who attacked the 29-year-old victim while he was opening up a package near 23rd Ave. and Benson Ave. in Gravesend about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday.
The NYPD revealed the package contained the flag of Donetsk, an Eastern Ukrainian city run by pro-Russian separatists.
The attack shattered the victim’s front tooth but he declined medical attention.
The NYPD immediately arrested the suspect after the attack and sued for assault as a hate crime, aggravated harassment, and menacing.
Sources said the suspect was ordered released without bail after his arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court Wednesday.
According to reports, Donetsk is one of two Ukrainian cities run by pro-Russian separatists.
