New York – Yid Info learned from a reliable source that NYC Mayor-elect Eric Adams decided to postpone his mayoral inauguration.
There was reports for several days that Adams is consulting with health experts if to go ahead with the in-person bash. As we learned, the decision is already made to push off the inauguration to a date yet to be determined.
The move comes as the city continues to deal with an unprecedented outbreak of COVID-19 cases, fueled in part by the extremely contagious omicron form.
Adams indicated during a news conference that if the COVID outbreak in New York City continues on its current path, he will not hesitate to cancel the inauguration.
Mayor-elect Eric Adams made headlines last week for postponing the inauguration Saturday midday to Saturday night and bringing it to Brooklyn to accommodate the Orthodox Jewish community.
