This afternoon, a three-year-old Orthodox Jewish child died after he was left inside a vehicle.
The local police identified the victim as Shalom Tauber, the son of Rabbi Menachem Tauber, a faculty member of the Lubavitch Educational Center in Miami Gardens.
In the initial police investigation, the sad incident occurred just before 4 pm at the Chabad Jewish school in Miami Gardens in the 700 block of NW 173 Street.
The victim was reportedly left in the vehicle by accident.
At the time of the incident, the temperature in Miami was in the high 90s.
Mark Rosenberg, Director of Chesed Shel Emes, said they are doing their best to assist in helping the family cope with the tragedy.
