
Alert members of Metropolitan Police with the help of Shomrim arrested an 18-year-old male suspect who attacked two Orthodox Jews in Stamford Hill, London.
The attack which was caught on video shows the suspect punched and kick the victims who are bakers as they are closing a local bakery.
The suspect escaped after the attack but the local police arrested him with aid from Shomrim who track the suspect via CCTV footage in a follow-up operation.
The two bakers were taken to hospital after the attack.
Shomrim, a local volunteer police force, said one victim sustained a broken nose and fractured wrist in the attack.
The other man suffered bruising and injuries to his eye and wrist.
At the moment the suspect remains in police custody.
The local police are treating the incident as a hate crime.
Anti-semitic attacks have been on the rise in Europe as of late.
#UPDATE | Police have charged Malaki Thorpe, 18, with x2 counts of racially aggravated ABH & x1 count of possession of an offensive weapon after two men were attacked in #Haringey.
He will appear at Highbury Corner Mags Court tomorrow.
