A city transit advocate revealed a well-functioning 24-hour speeding could deter car accidents in New York.

Department of Transportation Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez said speed cameras should roll 24 hours to avoid road accidents.

“We need to hold reckless drivers accountable for their actions,” Rodriguez said.

Meanwhile, New York City Mayor Eric Adams has promised to fix dangerous intersections and add more protected areas for cyclists and pedestrians.
