The local police are conducting a deeper investigation on the attempted kidnapping of a nine-year-old boy in Lakewood around 8 am Thursday morning.
The Lakewood police are now looking into the kidnapping attempt on the victim who was walking outside his home in Lakewood when he was stopped by a male driver who was apparently wearing a wig – in an older-model vehicle.
The police said the driver lured the victim to enter his car with chocolate.
Sensing danger the boy ran off to the safety of a neighbor’s home.
At that instance, the suspect escaped in an unknown direction.
