Two customers managed to escape with thousands of dollars worth of goods without paying because they caused the Walmart cashier to becoming confused.
According to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, the couple loaded a cart in Grovetown with several pricey things.
According to a story from Fox News, they performed several credit card transactions when they arrived at the register but did not charge their card.
The two then demanded that the pay register’s “cash” button be pressed for their credit card to function, which bewildered the cashier.
The bewildered cashier complied with their requests and pressed the button to allow the items to be rung up as a cash purchase, preventing the usage of their credit cards.
The issue is that they did not pay actual cash.
