The philanthropist Alex Soros has confirmed that he will carry on his father’s longstanding tradition of generously supporting politicians and activists who are hostile to the Jewish state.
According to a July 25 article in The Washington Free Beacon, both Soros men sent Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) the maximum legal donation of $6,600 at the end of June. Recently, a member of the progressive “Squad” came under fire for telling a crowd of protesters, “I want you to know that we have been fighting to make it clear that Israel is a racist state.”
George Soros, 92, handed up control of his charitable fundraising organization, the Open Society Foundations, to his son, who is 37 years old, this year. One of the millennials’ initial choices was to reduce the workforce by 40%.
Additionally, Alex Soros declared a halt to new grants until February. A who’s who of militant anti-Israel activist organizations, including Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, B’Tselem, and Breaking the Silence, have received funding from the Open Society Foundations.
