Over the weekend, a sinkhole unexpectedly emerged in Hod Hasharon, but the motorist was unharmed.
The police believe that a malfunction in the subsurface water system led to the sinkhole.
Chaim Boron, the car’s owner and a city resident, told Ynet about what happened: “I was driving when I observed a small half-meter hole, but it suddenly turned into a flood, and my car sank within a second.
Everything happened in a split second. The front tires slid down into the hole. I sped out of the automobile after 20 seconds.
The car would have continued to sink with me if I hadn’t run away.
He said, “I can’t believe the enormous neis that happened, a true neis.” “In a neis, my life was saved.”
The police stated that they conducted inspections after the event and “at this point, no other weak places were detected.
There were no injuries, although one vehicle was damaged.
The goal was to quickly restore regular traffic by calling engineering and municipal officials.
