The foreign minister of Britain said that while on a visit to southern Israel, he had gotten “a glimpse of what millions experience every day” when he had to seek cover from Hamas rocket fire.
Israel’s foreign ministry made a video of the United Kingdom visit.
During a visit to Ofakim, Foreign Secretary James Cleverly and other officials fled indoors as sirens rang. Cleverly spoke with survivors of the Hamas militants’ weekend attack along with his Israeli counterpart, Eli Cohen.
A clever user of X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote: “Every Israeli man, woman, and child lives in fear of Hamas rockets. For this reason, Israel and we are standing together.
Cleverly landed in Israel on Wednesday to express Britain’s support for that country, according to the Foreign Office.
