Elan Ganeles, a 27-year-old dual citizen of the United States and Israel from West Hartford, Connecticut, has been positively identified as the victim of a Palestinian terrorist attack, and we are heartbroken to report this.
Amid a rash of violence between Israelis and Palestinians in the region, Mr. Ganeles was shot and killed while driving close to the West Bank city of Jericho.
According to Israeli accounts, terrorists drove to Mr. Ganeles’ automobile and opened fire, gravely injuring him and other vehicles.
There were no other recorded injuries. The shooters reportedly abandoned their vehicle and set it ablaze, according to the Israel Police.
