The long wait is finally over! The new Evergreen location, appropriately named “Evergreen Uptown”, will be opening this week, just 7 miles from the original Monsey location. The new store is in the Pacesetter Park Shopping Center in Pomona, perfect for Pomona residents and shoppers who want to avoid the growing downtown Monsey congestion.
The new store will provide a well-rounded food experience, including grocery items, prepared foods, a dine-in seating area, fresh meats and fish, sushi, an in-store bakery with an extensive line of sourdough specialties, and even an interconnected two-story toy store!
The dine-in seating area will be open for milchig dining from store opening until 5 pm, at which point the site will be dedicated exclusively for fleishig dining. Evergreen Uptown spoke about their intentions for the new dine-in seating area, saying, “We want our customers to come to do their shopping, and then stay to meet with friends or just relax with their families in our new dining area.”
Evergreen Uptown vendors include Pesado (formerly known as The Fishery in Monsey/Lakewood location), Glatt Geshmak, Menza Cafe (milchigs), Grab & Stay (dine-in-seating area), Glick’s Bakehouse, Simply Sushi, Signature Meats, and Blossom’s Floral Bar.
Being that this is the third major grocery store under the Evergreen brand, Evergreen possesses the buying power of the chain store. This status gives Evergreen priority to supplies and allows the brand to negotiate discounted pricing, enabling them to pass the savings on to customers. With prices rapidly rising throughout the nation, this will significantly benefit the Jewish community.
