According to meteorologists, New Yorkers may feel the chill, sling with a touch of snow today, as the wintry storm has moved into the area over the weekend.
Get set for a snowy Sunday because according to Accuweather, lake-effect snow is forecast to reach the area today. As it stands, only a small coating to an inch of accumulation is expected in the city due to temperatures and daylight, but cities to the north of New York such as Albany and Hartford, Connecticut all have a possibility to see a few inches of snow from the storm.

If the storm strengthens on Sunday night into Monday, New York City will have a greater chance for snow accumulation. Unusually warm Atlantic Ocean temperatures will lower the chance of snow accumulation along the immediate area, where a mix of rain and snow is more likely.
Accuweather predicts local road conditions will be wet with possible slippery spots outside of urban areas when roads cool on Sunday night, and airline delays are also likely due to de-icing of aircraft in some locations.
