On Sunday, a terrorist opened fire at a car in the Arab town of Huwara, which is close to Nablus. The attack left a 30-year-old man with critical injuries.

Three weeks after two Israelis were slain in a shooting attack in a Palestinian hamlet, David Stern, an oleh from the US, was injured.

Former US Marine Stern, a resident of the town Itamar, was transported to Rabin Medical Center-Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva and is now in a serious to critical condition.

“He struck the militant. He shot him. According to a source in the hospital, the shots you see in the images were fired by him, not by the terrorist.

He struck the terrorist, and as a result, the terrorist was captured. Despite being unconscious and in pain, the injured man is, thank God, doing well.

The injured man’s 35-year-old wife was also transported to Beilinson Hospital in shock.

Initially, it was incorrectly stated that their three kids were in the car with them.

The terrorist was tracked and apprehended by Israeli security officers. According to the IDF, he was given to security forces for additional questioning.

Leith Nazar, 28, a resident of the hamlet of Madama near Nablus, has been named the terrorist (biblical Shechem).
Moshe Meir Shimon, a paramedic of Magen David Adom, said: “We treated a woman who was shocked and a male in his 30s who was gravely hurt by a gunshot to his upper torso.

Since the man’s condition was critical, we promptly transferred them to ambulances and rushed them to the hospital.

At the attack scene, Yossi Dagan, the leader of the Samaria Regional Council, urged people to “stop acting like the previous government, which ignored security via its passivity.

The time has come for the IDF to conduct a military operation against the terrorist [Palestinian] Authority; I call on and demand the prime minister, the defense minister, and all other ministers in the cabinet.

“We praise the commando action in Huwara and confirm that it is a natural response to Israel’s crimes in the West Bank and Jerusalem,” said Hazem Qasem, a spokesman for Hamas.

In reaction to Israel’s crimes, the latest of which occurred today in Damascus and two days ago in Jenin, Islamic Jihad declared that “this is a natural and appropriate response.”

In celebration of the attack, sweets were distributed in the Arab community of Beita near Nablus.

Hallel and Yagel Yaniv, brothers, were shot and killed three weeks earlier in Huwara while in their automobile at the same intersection on the road that passes through the town.
